Hardox High Hardness steel | Hardox Plate | Hardox 500 Sheets
National Steel Industries is the most prominent supplier of Hardox 500 Steel Plates. Hardox 500 Steel Plate is abrasion, wear and tear resistant steel. Hardox 500 hardness is very high. The Brinell Hardness value is around 500 HB. Hardox 500 Steel DataSheet analysis shows that the metal can withstand high tensile strength shear forces. It can withstand a high amount of pressure. Hardox 500 finds its application in the defence industry, mechanical engineering, oil and gas drilling industry, etc. We have ready stock of hardox 500 Sheets and Plates.
The Hardox 500 has an additional quality of weldability. The material supplied by National Steel Industries is of premium quality. Before being shipped out to a customer, the material must first undergo many tests, including the impact test, bend test, mechanical test, chemical composition test, etc. Hardox 500 Steel Plates thickness can be from 3 mm to 130 mm. Hardox 500 is also known as BHN 500, AR 500 or AR500 steel. It is used to make heavy-duty machines which are used for tasks that require high tensile strength in the material. Eg: dump truck and JCB bucket, gears, etc.

Hardox 500 tempering curve data predict that the material can be performed with heat treatments such as quenching, tempering, annealing, and normalization. National Steel Industries provides Hardox 500 steel plates that are tested for a variety of parameters and provided with a free material test certificate.
The mechanical properties and chemical properties of Hardox Steel is mentioned below:
Hardox 500 Chemical Composition
The hardox 500 steel carbon content is from 0.27-0.30 %. The Silicon content is 0.50 % max. The contents of P are reduced to 0.025 % and S is reduced to 0.010 % max as excess content of P and S can damage the quality of steel and can cause the alloys steel to break at low stresses.
