EN24 Chemical Composition
The EN24 carbon content is of medium-level carbon. The Manganese and Carbon impart the hardness properties to EN24 material. Phosphorus and Sulphur are limited to 0.05% max. Excess quantities of P and S can damage the steel which can reduce its stress holding capacity. High Chromium content of 0.9-1.40 % is present in EN24 alloy steel which imparts high hardness and it's ability to withstand high temperature heat treatment. The ere is a presence of high Nickel content of 1.30-1.80 %.
